In the tradition of GONE GIRL and THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN is the movie A KIND OF MURDER. Thou a lower kind.
Its premise is interesting even if it’s not original. The storytelling is decent and the actors are relatively good. But the end part is trash. It doesn’t even try to answer the very question it asked.
Of course, there are stories with ambiguous ending. And at times, its beauty is not in the answers but in the poetic questions and some readings between the lines. But it’s not the case with this movie. It is a contrite conclusion just for the heck of ending it.
