TRAIN TO BUSAN is a long overdue watch. Nothing unique or mind-blowing with the story. But what sets apart from other zombie movies is its personal story. Because majority of zombie movies are just about… zombies.
It was an exhilarating ride. But constraint [in a good way]. For a story with freakish antagonists, most movies [specially Hollywood and PH counterparts] will go for the cheap trick quick scare. With fuckin’ sound effects to the point of being hilarious. But true to its Asian nature, TRAIN TO BUSAN allows natural storytelling and true horror — life and death; father and child; family, fear, courage and sacrifice. Sounds cliché? Only this review. Not the movie.
